Betrand Russell was a British philosopher whose emphasis on logical analysis influenced the course of 20th –century thinking. Regarding to the degree of happiness, which is an article that excerpt from his book, “The Conquest of Happiness”, Russell has stated by indirectly that, the happiness concept is different on each person. There is an example stated in the article, "if a person is a gardener, he would against the rabbit from destroying his garden and it also could be called as the happiness". This is because, happiness did not depend upon intellectual sources and it could be anything. Besides, for an educated person, they tend to be happy while doing their job or completed it with succeed, but some of them are unhappy because they are too consider with the public perception. These situations prove those artists are less happy than men of scientist. This is because, an artists are being appreciated from she or he arts and skills. Meanwhile, the scientists are frequently doing their activities or research and achieves finding which emerge it is so important to themselves or even to the public, even sometimes an ordinary person hard to understand their work or finding itself but they still accept it and believe on their credibility, compared to the artists they are more likely to be unhappy if a person do not understand their art and picture. However, we need to remember that no one is perfect. Thus, against or oppose public skepticism, can lead the people to the genuinely happy. Labels: ARTICLES REVIEW |
